"You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?"
-The Princess Bride (1987)
Drama, comedy, or something in between.
Carol's pick: To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) - My favorite book, faithfully rendered into a stunning classic.

Agree on this one, but I'd add both Inherit the Wind and Twelve Angry Men. An honorable mention has to go to My Cousin Vinny. Who couldn't listen to Marisa Tomei tesify on automobile mechanics all day?
ReplyDelete"My Cousin Vinny" (1992) - really funny, "A Time To Kill" (1996) - reduces me to tears every time
ReplyDeleteJust because I love me some Aaron Sorkin, I'll throw out A Few Good Men. You can't handle the truth!
ReplyDeleteA Few Good Men has been one of my favorite movies for a long time, but one of the many hazards of going to law school is that fictional depictions of trials start to drive you crazy. Therefore, (and since I'm trying not to duplicate what's already been said) I'm going with Amistad, because I don't know enough about the law of the 1800's to know how wrong it is.
