    I remember liking the 1979 version of The Black Stallion. It featured Mickey Rooney, who was nominated for an Oscar for his performance.

    When I was a kid I loved "Old Yeller", but my attention span never got me as far as the tragic end.

    Don't know how many times I watched "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey" as a kid, but it was a lot. "Old Yeller" was also a favorite, and probably the first movie to ever make me cry.
